Koinonia is the Greek word for “community” or “fellowship”. Our hope is that we are creating a space and environment where all feel welcome, loved, valued, and cared about as we journey with Christ. Our values are the Gospel, Love, and Community. We desire to be a gospel-centeric group. We want the good news of Jesus Christ to have an influence on every aspect of our lives; how we treat each other, how we interact with our peers and teachers, how we view and serve the areas where we live. We place a high value on love because Jesus says that the world will know that we are His disciples by the way we love one another. (John 13:34-35) We want to love one another well…like Christ loves us. Finally, we want to be a place where redemptive community is found. Students can find good friendship and fellowship in many different areas of life; whether it is in class, band, sports teams, choir, or a job, but those are all temporal things. We know that through God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit we are invited into a group or community that is eternal, and we want to help welcome other into that same fellowship.
We hope you will come and journey with us.
